Import Videos & Animated GIFs to show in interactive preview

Support to import a video or animated GIFs to simulate animations or even playable video.

Hello everyone! I’m excited to announce that in XD 45 (released today 10/26), you will be able to import MP4 video into your XD designs.

To ensure platform compatibility and performance across desktop, web and mobile preview, your video must be:

MP4
H.264
AAC audio
under 15 MB
4K or under resolution.

Enjoy and we can’t wait to see what you create!

XD does not support Animated GIF, so if you are still looking for that, please start a separate request and vote on it.

    Seria un plus que transmite realismo, la opción de poder agregar videos y gif animados a XD

    If video content was added to adobe XD gif content would be equally important to me. I see it being a level of fidelity that keynote has. Also audio control.

    Where I can set it to loop, maybe quickly trim but really high level features. Anything else I can do in the other Adobe products.

    I am curious if video content was added if you could treat it like a component and it would duplicate without destroying file size.

    A prototype without Video and Gifs support is incomplete. When can we see this feature in XD?

    Just told an old coworker they should switch to XD as it supports videos and GIFs. I said that knowing the feature was marked as "in development" last year. Well, turns out it still doesn't support yet.

    C'mon adobe. this would be the single coolest thing you could add to XD to make it stand out.

    I worked on a project for few hours and now just to figure out I can't add video!! Absolute bummer. Such a basic function to have in 2020.. Very disappointing that you haven't listen out the community which asks for this feature since 2016! and now i need to find different prototype tool.

    I don't know why we need to use XD over figma when it doesn't even support basic gif/ animation function

    I just started using Adobe xd few days back and this is a feature that I felt the need for. Come on Adobe, I don't want to compromise on my projects due to some less features.
