Import Videos & Animated GIFs to show in interactive preview

Support to import a video or animated GIFs to simulate animations or even playable video.

Hello everyone! I’m excited to announce that in XD 45 (released today 10/26), you will be able to import MP4 video into your XD designs.

To ensure platform compatibility and performance across desktop, web and mobile preview, your video must be:

MP4
H.264
AAC audio
under 15 MB
4K or under resolution.

Enjoy and we can’t wait to see what you create!

XD does not support Animated GIF, so if you are still looking for that, please start a separate request and vote on it.

    Adobe, seriously – why are you spending development hours on a feature like this, regardless of how many votes there are, when there are SO MANY basic design features STILL missing?

    just want to place a video - user hits play button and new overlay pops up and plays the video. (even linking to another url would work) doesn't seem like that complicated of an update for adobe - please add this feature!

    also while you're at it - music that plays continuously over multiple pages. thanks much!

    You started this feature year and a half ago? And still nothing? Adobe come on! This is animated gif file support we are talking about, not navigating my chair to different planet system! All these little pains are reason why you are loosing big time to Figma and Sketch.
