Search icon is the zoom icon
Hello Guys,
I am a visual designer and exploring adobe Xd suddenly one thing noticed my eye icon has been used for zoom in/out functionality actually use for search but adobe XD is using for zoom in/out. I was little bit confused so I chose to test this some of UX designer and visual design or normal people they got his as search icon not for Zoom in/out.
For research prospective I checked this in photoshop CC so I found zoom icon little bit different form Adobe SD and in photoshop top left corner presenting the both zoom in and…

Associate asset display type (grid, list) with the document
It would be nice to be able to memorize the type of display of the assets by document: I often use the "grid" type and each time I open my document I have to switch.

Layout grid should work like InDesign columns
The grid system should work and look just like the columns in InDesign, the grid is a common thing for all graphic designers and making them look different across apps makes it all feel non cohesive.

Fixed-zoom preview window
It could be great to have a feature where i can open a small window that shows a highlighted part of the artboard in 100% zoom, and then in my actual workflow i can zoom into 6400%.
This way i can make very small changes to something like icons, on a pixel level, without having to zoom in and out to preview the changes.

Keyboard shortcut for lock aspect
Please Make more hotkeys
Lock aspect toggle
and Color pick like in Photoshop [just press "I" and pick color]
this really need for productivity while designing. Thanks in advance.
1 voteI’ve changed this to focus on the lock aspect ratio shortcut. You can upvote the one for the color picker here: https://adobexd.uservoice.com/forums/353007/suggestions/13029870
Please note that for the future, you should probably file one idea per ticket so that we can better aggregate!

Automatically renumber artboards
Is it possible to make the names of automatic tables? By working on ten tables, I will always have to name them with the prefix numbers (1 onboarding screens / 2 landing screens / 3 ....)
when I get to board 20, I want to add a board between 4 and 5, so I have to manually rewrite and number all the other cards that follow.
It is too boring to spend a lot of time each time manually updating the numbers.Thank you for thinking of a solution.

Select separate sections of area text
This would be similar to holding the shift key to select multiple objects.
In this case one would be able to select different lines of text (not contiguous)
by holding a modifier key.example: A user is trying to select every title in a long flow of copy. With this function they would be able to select each title in the text box and change their color, size, font, etc. all at once.

Rasterizing placed hi-res stock imagery to reduce overall XD file size
Hi team, you're doing great work so far! I would suggest / request a few options for image handling in Adobe XD.
Another option would be to have an option to rasterize all imagery after being placed in so you can rasterize all imagery at once at a specific resolution (@1x, @2x, @4x) so that all images would be rastered at the largest size you would need to export for final size, and reduce the large sizes of placed stock photography to save the overall xd file size.
(Moved to another story: One is the ability to use linked imagery,…

Format number
Converting text to numbers with the click of a button can definitely reduce a lot of time as there will not be any necessity to manually add the commas between the digits.
Here is my Visualization of how the concept would be.

Preview Bounds
Like in Illustrator, to have the ability to edit things with preview bounds for things that have a border that are done with the pen tool/line tool/imported SVGs

Display file's last edit date and time beside file name
Either display the last edit/change in the window title where the file name resides or better yet, each artboard also displays the last change time and date. This is very important for large companies which has multiple designers working on a single file.
Please see attached mockup, refer to the middle window title.

Add rename, edit, and export to assets panel context menu
The addition of a few features to the right click menu in the assets panel would definitely improve productivity.
Rename - The ability to right click and rename objects in the assets panel would greatly improve the ability to organize objects instead of the current method of navigating to list view and then renaming objects.
Edit - The ability to right click and edit any asset (as is currently possible only with colors) would be extremely useful for assets that are used infrequently in large projects that would have to be found manually and changed on the canvas.

Add Fixed Position to right click/context menu
The fixed position option is fantastic but could benefit from being easier to access. Adding the fixed position option to the context menu or just adding a a keyboard shortcut would greatly benefit many designers' workflows.

Allow the option to default the selection tool to direct select
It would be great if we had an option of whatever we want to select group or specific layer via select tool default options. I guess it's much more frequently used to pick just one element instead of picking whole group.
So for me, for example, it would be much easier if by default it would be to just pick one emelement by click, rather then to press CMD all the time i want to change something inside of group.

Reference points to the vertical and horizontal centers when editing a path
When I'm distorting a shape (say a rectangle) into another shape (say a trapezoid), I'd like to know see reference guide to the vertical and horizontal centers, so I know how far to move the distortion points.

Import based on HEX value
Shortcut for color picker and import of hex directly to color library.
First off, great tool you have created so far. Secondly I wanted to propose to have shortcuts for the color picker. I find the new version pretty great already, but what I am really missing is a shortcut, similar to that of photoshop, illustrator, indesign, …
My guess is that since you have 3 distinct colors to choose (fill, outline and gradient) this poses a problem. I was wondering, if you still can’t make a version, like that of PS. Press "i" to choose the tool (should be…1 voteI’ve changed this to focus on the idea of importing based on HEX value. We have a separate idea you can upvote for keyboard shortcuts: https://adobexd.uservoice.com/forums/353007/suggestions/14746506

Install UI kit of the artboard type you're using
Can it be integrated with Adobe Sensei in future? That will surely automate few things for the end users
1) UI kits can be automatically downloaded and installed within XD. Suppose a user is working on the android artboard, he will get all the android related UI kits on the go.
2) Specific UI elements can be searched by name and instantly applied in the design system while working, it will surely save time when one had to find specific UI element in a huge document.
Think of a side panel of UI library integrated with Adobe Sensei doing all…
