Option to maintain comments/pins when creating new link
As you're aware, comments/pins can be applied to a prototype once a link has been generated. However, if a new link has been generated since the previously generated link, then the previously applied pins are erased. When generating a new link, introducing an option which allows the user to carry the pins over to the new link would be very useful feature.
Duplicating or resaving a document does not retain the comments/pins.
Perhaps having the option to apply comments directly within XD could be the way forward. This would allow the creator of the document to add notes, or even flesh out rationale to support the design before passing over to clients or devs.

This issue has become more important as we are forced to transfer design ownership and re-create links more often because of all the recent non-backward compatible releases of XD, and the new bugs that are preventing us from using shared design components.
We use the comments feature to add technical/functional call-outs to developers, so every time we have to change ownership (like if someone just goes on vacation!), we have to manually transfer all of the callouts!

Occasionally the commenting feature at a review link breaks and commenting is no longer available. The screen says, "We are unable to post your reply, please try again." Creating a new link allows commenting again, but all the previous comments are stuck with the old link.

Our designers have the issue when you saved an iteration of the file (v0.02..) the comments are removed rather than persistant

Example:
I create an app design. In the prototype link I place comments to explain to the client how the app works.
I then create a dark mode version of the design. I need to be able to place the comments into this link too! It's just too stupid to ask the client to look at the other design for comments. Especially when something changes, and the first design is no longer relevant, it is no longer an option to refer to the other link for comments.

Apply comments directly into xd and exporting them with the link would be the best option, but at the very least we need to be able to carry comments and pins over to a new link!
I use these comments not only for feedback on the design, but also to explain to the client how the app works! So when I make a new link for a new version, it's undoable!
(also would be nice to apply the same pin to multiple pages)
