Multiple masters of a component
This might sound like a crazy idea.. but since the introduction of components I have felt the need to have multiple instances of a master component on the canvas.
Problem: Say I have an artboard with a master component (a collection of master components for overview). In another artboard I have an instance of the component where it sits in context. Today I often start editing the instance component by mistake which just makes overrides to the component when I actually want to just update the component globally and in context. Instead of having the instance of the component I would like to have a duplicate of the master (which of course is live updated with the other master instance).
So to summarize: I would like to choose wether a copy of a symbol should have a direct link to the master or if should be an instance that you can override.

Just having an option to "Save changes to master" or "Update master" on any instance would probably solve this. It's something I've run into a bunch, just because of the idiosyncrasies of XD's way of organizing prototypes, and it's a real headache.

I would like to see this as an option as well. I would like to have multiple Masters so that I can see and edit multiple states of a component.
For example, if there is a component with and On and Off state, I could copy the master, set one state to On and the other to Off and compare them as I design. Then in my final app, I can toggle these states as usual. This feature would just help out with the design process.
