Reference points to the vertical and horizontal centers when editing a path
When I'm distorting a shape (say a rectangle) into another shape (say a trapezoid), I'd like to know see reference guide to the vertical and horizontal centers, so I know how far to move the distortion points.

When editing a path in a design software, such as Adobe Illustrator or Sketch, it is important to have reference points to ensure accurate distortion of shapes. One way to achieve this is to enable the display of the vertical and horizontal centers of the shape. This allows the user to see how far they need to move the distortion points to achieve the desired shape. In Illustrator, this can be done through the "View" menu, under "Show Grid" and "Snap to Grid". In Sketch, this can be done by selecting the shape and enabling the "Smart Guides" option in the "View" menu.
