Show scroll bar in published prototypes
When you share a prototype with a client, it isn't immediately obvious that the design is scrollable. I have had a couple of instances of clients not knowing that the designs continue below the fold. An obvious scroll bar added to the prototype view when shared would solve this.

Today i shared with a cliente a prototype, but he uses a laptop and he was unable to scroll the prototype..... IT'S JUST A SCROLL BAR!!!!!
How can Adobe not put it there yet? -

I don't normally complain, but our clients NEED to be able to scroll without a mouse. As of right now, if they are just using a trackpad on their laptop, they cannot scroll to see the whole page and we have to send PDF's. Guess I'm going back to Invision.

Adobe, if you don't want people to use this product so badly then why not make the whole app invisible ?

why does this have only 66 votes? I have to send instructions on how to use XD...

It is absurd that this has not been resolved or even commented on by Adobe. How can a web large screen (desktop) prototype be deemed functional when there is no cue to the user that there may be content lower on the page?
This is resulting in issues with usability testing AND confused stakeholders.
If it were my decision, my organization would no longer use XD until basic issues like this are resolved. -

...amazing how something so basic can be overlooked. It's a pain. We are back to sending pages to clients in PDF until this is resolved...will Adobe listen, and when can we expect this fix?

Yes, I also facing the same issue. The scrollbar is not there and it is frustrating.

This is basic, basic, basic UX... please fix this. Clients and customers are frustrated that they can't scroll a simple prototype without using a mouse wheel. Not everybody has this option.
Besides, a visible scroll bar has a message: the page has more content, scroll to see it.

I can't believe this feature hasn't been implemented yet. I had a meeting with the client today and it really was a struggle going over artboards without a scrollbar. Please, Adobe Xd team, keep track of this request!.

A visible scrollbar would be a great solution. I'd say over 75% of my clients tell me they can't scroll. And in some cases (when using Chrome on Windows) they can't scroll at all. Even when directed to hover over the image/artboard area.

This REALLY needs to happen. Please please please, Adobe! Most of my user tests are showing an issue where the people testing have a janky mouse or they are just accustomed to using a scroll bar (I work with testing a lot of digital products with seniors).
I'm having to resort to using Axure for a lot of things now...which is frustrating when I need quick tests without a ton of logic behind them.

I'm currently designing for an over 65 age market and from our testing, 80% use the scroll bar on the right to help navigate through a site.
Do we know the status of this requested feature? This is probably the only thing keeping our large health care compony from moving from Invision and Sketch. Thanks!

I have had many clients respond this way to. Even a flash of scroll bar would help...

Please fix this. We at least need the OPTION to show scroll bars - this is a must have for use in web development for desktop. I can't share the preview with clients because they either 1) can't figure out that they even need to scroll, or 2) don't have a mouse wheel to scroll with, and the arrow keys require you having focus on the screen, so they can't figure that out either. This is the reason I will upgrade to the pay version, but it's not worth it if I can't use that feature with clients. I'm sure this is a non issue for app developers but some of us still need to create things for desktop :) thank you.

agree with everyone here – clients don't know they can scroll because there is no scroll bar

This is a major issue when performing usability tests because there is no visual cue that the screen mockup extends past viewport height. We added our own scrollbars to the mockups but now people try to click on them, which is at least better than no scrollbar because it at least helps us to know that users expected to see more below the viewport height when they saw a scrollbar.

I recently encountered this issue with my client, she told me she didn't understand how to see the design because it was only showing her the above the fold section, and she doesn't use a mouse in her laptop so she can't see the full design, I have to send her a PDF of the website design which kills the purpose of this app...

Wow, this an absolute Adobe clanger!! I've switched to XD to start producing web visuals for clients after years of mocking them up in Illustrator. I really like XD and I'd never noticed this until now as I always just use the Apple mouse for scrolling.
However as people here suggest it needs adding. Certainly on my setup using a Mac and Firefox even the up and down arrows do not scroll and the only way to scroll is via mouse and then only when the cursor is over the actual viewport of the prototype.

Is this the same as the scrollbar hiding on the BROWSER?
Why is the prototype hiding the browser's scrollbar. This isn't even close to being acceptable.
