An error occurred while saving the comment An error occurred while saving the comment Caroline commentedIt is absurd that this has not been resolved or even commented on by Adobe. How can a web large screen (desktop) prototype be deemed functional when there is no cue to the user that there may be content lower on the page?
This is resulting in issues with usability testing AND confused stakeholders.
If it were my decision, my organization would no longer use XD until basic issues like this are resolved.Caroline supported this idea · -

Although Adobe XD does not currently provide scrollbars to navigate the view of your content, there are several different options to pan the viewport around:
- If you have a trackpad, use two fingers to pan (if you have an Apple Magic Mouse, you can use one finger to pan)
- Hold down Space Bar and drag the mouse
- Use the mouse scroll wheel to pan vertically, and use Shift + scroll wheel to pan horizontally

Beyond being an essential navigational control, the scroll bar IS the affordance for users to know that there is more content lower on the page. Were XD not the choice of my enterprise, I would absolutely be using Invision/Sketch or another competitor. This is table stakes functionality for prototyping.
Try explaining the workarounds Mr. Flynn posted above to the average user in the time-limited, sometimes stressful context of a user test.

Still waiting on this essential, table stakes functionality. Unreal.
This issue negatively affects user testing scenarios and if I it were up to me our enterprise would no longer use XD due to this issue. It is that significant: it affects testing results.
