Set object to default to no stroke
Every single time I make a box or something it adds a border stroke by default. This is so annoying as I don't want a border stroke like 90% of the times. Is this a bug or something? I'm so tired of removing that border stroke!! Please Adobe, make this nightmare go away. If you insist on forcing this upon us as default then at least make a "remember this choice" checkbox or something.

Come on, get rid off that default border!
It's annoying, it's unnecessary.

Enable preferences to turn off default behavior of stroke being "on" and applied to everything. I rarely ever use it when create UI elements. I saw forum requests for this but it seemed like folks where directed here to create a feature request. i didn't see anywhere to +1 the idea - or any feature requests w/ this.

Hey all, Is this resolved yet? Please let me know as it is desperately annoying to have to turn off a stroke for every new object. This is due to strokes being a very rare style attribute as everyone here has stated.

Please change this. And while at it, make an option to change the defaults for a document:
Show the design-options-panel when clicking on a shape tool, then the user can change the defaults for that specific document.

Here's the thing, borders have no place in professional vector graphics. They are useless. Any time you think you want a border, you're going to screw something up.
Unfortunately, Adobe XD has a nasty habit of adding them to everything, even when you never checked border, you never sampled something with a border, you never once ever did a single bloody thing with a border, yet XD wants to add them everywhere.
It's easy for you to completely stop this from happening, even if your coders cannot figure out why the bug exists that adds borders constantly to everything. Just add a setting to disable borders altogether. Professional designers don't need them, and they can only get in the way and cost you time and frustration.

Wow it's really nice to see Turkish UI designers , I'm a future designer. I always use shortcuts and use the pc fast , this border issue annoyed me. More than it annoyed the President of the U.S

100% on board with the rest of the user comments. The border drives me crazy. It even adds a border to the text. What is the purpose of that? Please remove this feature or allow us to turn it off.

When drawing shapes (e.g., square, circle, triangle), please add a feature where XD can remember the user's border preference. 95% of the time, I just need to draw a shape with a FILL...no borders needed. It's really frustrating that I have to uncheck the border checkbox every single time I draw a shape. "Sketch" has this feature and it's great! Thank you.

Either a no-stroke default or an option to set our own defaults for new shapes would be pretty nice to have.
As with others here, pretty much everyone I work with (in a company of ~30 designers) doesn't use border strokes on 90% of shapes. -

I completely agree with this issue, since a default border is not needed in 99% while designing. At least make this optional and let the designer choose to disable or enable it in settings.
In Sketch it is the same frustrating issue, but at least there I can hit the shortcut B and get rid of the border; this is also missing in XD.

I agree, I have to untick the border 90% of the time - would be much better to have it off by default or be able to choose!

It would be great not to have it on by default. let us select it if it's something the design requires
