Export to Photoshop / PSD format
this is very important feature, that will make life of many designers and their clients much better

Agree! Exporting as a psd would be an essential feature as most of the clients request PSD files only.

I disagree, the industry is moving to tools like Zeplin and InVision to extrapolate layers, specs, etc. Especially with half the industry on Sketch now, there's no need to support Photoshop anymore.

Re-iterating the points that a lot of people have already made here. This is a crucial requirement for XD to be integrated into existing workflows easily. Otherwise, it literally doubles the workload (rather than streamlining it) as you have to then go back and annotate the PNG/PDF with text stylings, padding dims, etc.
This should be made priority #1 feature-wise in my opinion!

WE NEED TO BE ABLE TO EXPORT TO PSD ASAP, IF YOU WANT THIS TO BECOME AN INDUSTRY STANDARD PLEASE JUST DO THIS.

This is something we really need.
Most of the devs work on PC and request files in .PSD format.

Many clients still insist on delivering designs in Photoshop and Illustrator formats. Exporting to psd or ai would make it possible for me to start using XD in professional environment today.

Please add an option to 'Export as PSD". We surely need this feature since most of prototype tools is integrated with Photoshop.

Definitely! We need this!

I am unable to start using Xd until we have this feature as my devs will only work with layered PSD files

Our design team really needs this feature too — File > Export > PSD.
It would be really helpful if the exported PSD retained all artboards, layers, layer groups, names, smart objects, etc.
XD is amazing for rapidly comping up UI/UX designs, but to make it actionable by our web development team, we need PSDs as our final output, with red line design specs that define padding & type settings across responsive designs, and output final image assets with photoshop generator.

We need this feature. My developers cannot develop the website because it cannot be exported as a psd file. I have created a stunning website and will now have to re-do it on photoshop because it does not include a psd export option. This would be a life saver if this feature was added!!!

I created a design and prototype for a client using XD, and the developers coding out the site needed the design in PSD. There is no way of exporting XD to PSD which is needed for developers. I had to redo everything in photoshop. I like XD but without this key feature I feel I cannot use it for client work, unless I am both the designer and developer on the project.

I totally agree with Rich B. I need to make exports to developers in psd with layers.

100% needs an export to PSD with layers and real text. As a freelancer I don't work with the same team, and so far not a single developer I've worked with has or uses XD, so the reality is I either don't use it or I have to re-create every design in Photoshop to pass the project on to a developer. So until this becomes a reality, XD is close to useless and is only of any use as a wire framing tool

As a designer I want to say I love XD but I'm not able to use it unless you add PSD extraction.
