Remove auto save
Sometimes I open files just to copy assets to another file, and move things around. I don't undo that coz sometimes I move stuff without even being aware. But when I close XD it doesn't even ask if I want to save changes. It automatically saves changes I didn't intend to save. It's very frustrating. Please give option to disable automatic save. If it automatically saves a copy on crash it's understandable, but this saves the main file. All unintended changes get saved.

Agreed. This is a poor UX decision. Most competent designers are used to saving frequently. By taking away control from the user, you are dictating how they work and interrupt the decision-making process. I cannot see a sound business advantage in this decision. As a long time user of your products, I look forward to the day when all of your programs behave in the same general way.

When working with large files, the autosave overloads RAM and causes the program to run EXTREMELY slow. Please allow us to turn off autosave.

This thread shouldn't even exist! Such option should be available when they thought about autosave!
I'm sorry, but your files aren't featherlight as google documents... -

YESS its really frustrating, and keeps uploading the file to the cloud sucking up all the megabytes and suddenly I need to take a loan to pay my internet bills

Yes have an option to turn this off, auto-saving every few seconds is extremely distracting and breaks the workflow. Much easier to just manually saving.
This has been requested ages ago and you still haven't looked into a simple feature change!

So I measured it on a stopwatch. I have an autosafe every 2 minutes and 59 seconds. Thank you.

So thank you, because of your stupidity I can't deliver my work in time. Thank you. Please don't touch the program anymore.

What a bullshit. I have autosave every 10 minutes. And the autosafe stuck my document so I can't work for 10 seconds!!!

Please Adobe.. You should be able to set a flag in settings to disable this feature. Continuous saving is a smart feature, but not all the time...

OMG YES! -There HAS to be a way to turn off autosave. Just now I accidentally deleted everything in my file that has taken me weeks of work and of course that's when XD decided to autosave and I lost EVERYTHING!
I am totally freaking out right now. -

Same thing here. I just opened a master file from my boss and made tweaks and edits and just realized that it has all been autosaved. I had to spend nearly an hour getting that file back to where it was and I'm not sure I got it all. Please make autosave an option!

Yes, please, MAKE THIS AN OPTION. This is really frustrating when I'm just trying same things, don't want to save it at all (OR I "save as..." and name it as version 2.0) and close the file. I just lost entire file because of that.

I think it would be more useful if ‘auto save’ becomes a setting. Some people want it, some don’t. I don’t!
I’m very glad I have a good backup system, because I was working in a file, making it ready for the next version, saved the new version, but my previous version was auto saved, so the drawings in the old version were gone …
So if auto save becomes a setting, everybody can choose how to use it?
