Agreed. This is a poor UX decision. Most competent designers are used to saving frequently. By taking away control from the user, you are dictating how they work and interrupt the decision-making process. I cannot see a sound business advantage in this decision. As a long time user of your products, I look forward to the day when all of your programs behave in the same general way.
