Fullscreen Prototype
Full screen should go full screen. InVision App allows a full-screen takeover when viewing a prototype. Why does the content go into a small rectangle centered in the browser with Adobe product notes in the corners? I am designing full screen, the prototype should follow that format. There is no need to see things like the date and time or "Made with Adobe XD." My client doesn't care, they are not designers. The client is my focus.
Upon clicking the "Fullscreen" button in the top corner, the screen still has a black background bordering the content. It should snap to the edges or at least provide the option like InVision. In addition, when viewing in "full screen" there is no "X" or "Exit" prompt. There should be. Clients feel trapped on the page and confused by the "X" in the design of the page.
We’ve changed the fullscreen mode in the shared prototype viewer to fix these issues. If you still have problems, please do file a new request in this database!

@Joan Thank you, curious to see how it works out. Adding to Jonathan's comment, I agree it would be the icing on the cake to have comments available while viewing the prototype full screen. The ideal situation is to always view 100% width of the screen, in the standard mode so you can write comments and view in full screen.
For a frame of reference, here is a link to what my clients are comfortable with.

I am not creating a website mockup. I am designing printed signage for an event. This "homepage" has a list of helpful links and imagery of deliverables that I must share with the client for approval prior to production. I am sharing with over 30 people. All sorts of non-designers and enterprise-oriented professionals. The kind of people who often don't know what "below the fold" means, so it needs to be intuitive and easy. (On this note, it would be great if pinch-to-zoom was available. They sometimes need to view items up-close, as these printed items are often larger than 10 ft big)@Viktorija Thank you, but viewing full screen still shows a black margin (on a mac, using chrome). In Adobe XD I do not see anything labeled "above-the-fold dimensions" or "Viewport Height option." If you create a checkmark, will it be a toggle for me? Or for the viewer? I would like my client to view the portal as is, not have to click a button for every page. There will be over 200 different deliverables I need to share and would like the approval process to be as seamless as possible.
Thank you!

It has to do with the above-the-fold dimensions you set for each artboard, aka the Viewport Height option. If it's not the same as the viewport of your browser of choice, black margins appear. For margins to disappear, you need to make your browser go full-screen (I think the common shortcut is F11 for most browsers), or choose a browser you'll be presenting in and set your viewport height accordingly.
What the XD team could do to fix it is add an adjustable viewport option, like a checkmark next to the viewport dimensions - if you check it, when in fullscreen mode the prototype page could check the viewport height upon loading and change the viewport dynamically so they're the same.

Jonathan,
Good question, we are testing it ONLY in full screen mode, but, also playing with ideas to make it 100% in the standard mode so you can write comments and view in full screen.
These changes should be coming soon.

Shawheen, thanks for sharing this feature request. They will be incredibly useful.
Joan_lafferty, you mentioned that Adobe is working on making the view 100% of our designs by default so that it will automatically act more like a website. Will this new 100% view need exited out of in order to make comments? If so, then Shawheen's second feature request for an button to exit full screen mode would be incredibly useful. Currently the only way I have found to exit the view is the press the Esc view. Thanks!

Hi Shawheen,
We are working on making a change where you always view your design at 100%. If it didn't fit in the window, it would scroll automatically acting more like a website.
Would this resolve your problem?
