Showing Layers AND Assets at the Same Time
I can't believe this suggestion doesn't already exist, but I work on a 32" or a 27" monitor all the time. I have plenty of screen real estate. Why not let me view both Assets and Layers panels at the same time?

Would love to hear any news here

I have noticed that when I am working on designs I am constantly toggling between the layers panel and the assets panel that it is frustrating. I will need to rename and edit a layer but then need to color something, change a font, etc.
I feel at least giving us the option to stack the panels like photoshop or move them around the interface would be helpful. I would personally love to have layers and assets open at the same time.

This is a must have. XD has the worst panel management I ever seen in any design software... Hey Adobe! Did you hire any UX designers to create your "experience design" software? Seems you didn't.

I've just started using Adobe XD, and this is already the most annoying limitation I foresee. Especially when I'm placing multiple placeholders on different artboards.

Is this being worked on? This feature request is 20 months old and it hasn't been addressed. What is going on Adobe? Xd UX is driving me mad.

This is insane. It's 2019 and those panels are still as they were. I'm on 21:9 monitor and it drives me crazy.

Adding another comment to this because this is becoming more of an issue now with with Components, Character and Color styles. Switching back and forth between Layers/Assets becomes a complete pain.
It would be great to have a way to show both.
It would be even better if the panels could float outside of main work window. This way I can put them on a second display and have a larger canvas area.

Great idea, but I think detachable asset and artboard panels would even better.

this is adobe software, correct? so why doesn't the window / panel functionality follow the standard pattern WITH EVERY OTHER ADOBE DESIGN PRODUCT? i want to move my panels around. i want to put them on a second monitor. i want to show/hide the panels as i need. i know this isn't too much to ask since it's been my workflow on *adobe* products for over 20 years.

There are too many times where I need to be able to have BOTH Panels active at the same time.

Would really, really like to see this... as well as a re-thinking of how we can access plugins, such as a dedicated panel for those as well (and let me open all 3 at once please!)

I finally gave Adobe XD a chance to prove itself against their competitors and already after an hours work I realize that it has the dumbest interface of them all. To be forced to tab between my styling and layers is a pain and a very troublesome way to work.
If I have the assets tab open all the time, then the kinda dumb way of selecting elements, selects the incorrect layer or folder, and I will over time have tons of randomly duplicate items. If I on the other hand have chosen to have my layer tab open, I can work way quicker with my objects and I make sure I select the correct items, but each time I would like to apply a styling (quite normal to have a libraries of design rules), I need to tab back to my styling tab each and every time?
Not sure who came up with the usability in this software, but that part needs to be changed or it is impossible to work professional with this tool.
