Get the Goddamn menu bar for Adobe XD Windows 10 version. Its is like a lot of opportunity is taken away form the windows 10 users and give to MAC users. Come on ADOBE.

This is ridiculous.
Not all features are available. Tutorials shot on a Mac don't work on Windows and this is killing the user experience for all Windows beginners. This is not related to the UWP design patterns. If you want to make an app with limited functionality, fine. Go for it. But then don't make that shitty touch experience available on a normal computer. A ton of Windows users don't work with any touch device. The ones who use touch are a minority.
That's just bad design.

It's really neat how you passed responsibility for breaking your UI on to Microsoft. However, it's also inaccurate. Not all of the options are available in the hamburger menu. In particular, Cut, Copy, and Paste are missing. I'm sure there's more missing, but that's all I've noticed so far.

Your answer is only slightly helpful. Why is Adobe following Microsoft UWP so strictly with XD? In Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, I can switch back to the great, perfectly functioning classic version with a top menu bar.
I wish I was richer then I would ditch my windows machine, sadly at the moment I am not.
So, would Adobe kindly introduce the option of turning back the top tool bar on in Adobe XD?

Please Adobe stop being so hard-headed and fix this mess.

Your team keeps touting that you are "removing friction in the design process wherever possible", but you are adding friction by not providing a menu bar and scroll bars. You could simply provide options to turn the menu bar and scroll bars on/off.

So should we assume that you'll be removing the menu bars for After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop, etc desktop apps to follow the so-called dead mobile UWP?

Why there isn’t a top bar menu?
I see you like the mobile first attitude but it doesn’t work on the desktop.
XD is for desktop computers so my mental model as a user of adobe products is to see the upper strip of the FILE/EDIT/SELECT. etc...

This is very disappointing. I really dislike having to click on the hamburger menu to see my navigation menu and have to scroll down to see it all. It's unnatural and tedious. But I guess that doesn't matter because of the Microsoft UWP design guidelines, which isn't friendly at all to people using a mouse. There should be an option we can set: 1) Top Nav or 2) Hamburger Menu.

It's not user friendly! It is really frustrating to have to click several times before you can access your plugins. I thought Xd was made to design user friendly apps and websites, but the app itself is not very user friendly.

At least we should have the option to choose between a hamburger menu or een top bar navigation.

i saw mac version and there is menu bar in at .but there is not one in windows one so please hurry up and fix this problem

Maybe it is touch friendly, but it is not mouse / stylus friendly.

It's not very user friendly even in a touch environment, how are the right click menu options accessible this way? As others have stated - all other Adobe products have a top menu - this should as well. Design for touch as an additional option - not the only option.

Apparently this is "As Designed" and they don't plan on adding menus.

Touch friendly? I'd be curious to see the percentage of users on Windows that are using XD on a touch-based platform. I'd suspect it isn't too high.

Right now I have to travel to the hamburger menu, hover the assets & layers icons, or right click on the desktop to remind myself what the shortcut keys are. A menu bar offers better discoverability of all the options and their shortcuts.

I am unable to see the top menu bar in the app on the desktop. I can see the photoshop top menu bar but not in xd. Can someone assist with these? See screenshot attached. Thanks again.

What is a hamburger menu?

No, this doesn't help! All of the other applications have tools, menu bars, and options that are versatile in IOS and Windows. How about you explain that the XD application is necessary to have the entire functionality of IOS in Windows because without it, the app itself is useless in Windows.

When previewing the tutorial for XD, I see on a Mac that the options bar at the top is available. However, when opening XD on Windows, it's very minimized to very few options. Now, why is that?

I've used several Cloud apps on between Mac and Windows, and the tools bar, options, navigation pane, etc are available for both mediums. Why does XD for Windows NOT have the same tools as the Mac version?

I am recently using Adobe XD, good tool to design a mobile UI, but no menu bar in the windows version it difficult to use the shortcut and find some option like clip mask.
