I'm having this issue too, developers are used to using Figma, where you can check CSS for android, ios and web all in the same place (simple drop-down and they choose what to see from the link I share on the browser)
And also the assets on xd are only downloadable as jpeg, png, or pdf, I need them to be able to download assets x1 x2 x3.

It does work, it's just a bit glitchy;
You have the select the artboards to be exported first then export them using Custom Export.
Worked 3 out of 4 times I've tried.

First of all, thanks Fred for suggesting custom export, I really like it but it's just not working for the last 2-3 weeks. Anybody with the same issue? Troubleshooting tips?

Thanks, Fred. Your suggestion is the quickest and the most helpful! Installed Custom Export plugin and it works like a charm!

Yes, I have the same issue, trying to export high res png/jpg from XD for powerpoint presentations. All options for jpgs and pngs (following the Web, Android, iOS options) when adding the image to a ppt file, the quality is not great.
I have exported it as pdf and importing in Illustrator and exporting as assets from there, but some gradient colour changes when doing from a pdf with several pages. If doing with a single pdf page, it works well, but that would be time consuming if you have lots of screens to export.

Hi, I have the same question. The last Admin said you could choose the DPI of the artboard, but I've tried all the export options and there is not one that is high-res enough. It would be great if you could just type in whatever number [#]x you want. Like in Sketch, where they have the field in the bottom right when you export. There is no size limit.
I need to print out my screens on a large poster for a client, so I need to be able to export the screens at a HUGE resolution that isn't normally used for digital formats. I shouldn't have to re-build the screens in a different program just so I can export at a larger size. Please add this!!

Does anyone actually export an artboard as an entire piece for development use?? with x1 x2 x3, pretty redundant.
As a mobile app designer, i have 2 audience I need to share my work with:
1st stakeholders - would be great to have an option to export selected artboard quickly into jpg /png at any desired size for this particular audience. Just like save for web feature on PS. At this point the quality of the exported images are just bad. I still use prototype to present works, but often i also need to export images and put up a presentation slides, share a jpg to someone etc...
2nd group of audience - production, this is where as designer, i can keep the original artboard size and export easily into the necessary device sizes which in current version gets the job done very well.
Hope this give some insights to improve further
