Import Artboards from Illustrator
I would really love in XD to have an option to import artboards from Illustrator. Working in UX with teams who create mockups in Illustrator, it would be a nice option to see a workflow where I can import my artboards so I can then prototype within XD.
Currently, I copy and paste in from Illustrator, which works, but it doesn't retain data sometimes such as drop shadows, which is an issue for some within the team.
In the most recent update (Oct 15, 2018), you can now open your Illustrator files in Adobe XD, while retaining artboards, layers, and editability.

I would like, not only to import, but to link or include the Illustrator artboards, i.e. I want to create mockup screens in Illustrator and then link the artboards in xd, and if I make a change in the .ai file, it will be synced with the xd files.
I still feel Xd is lacking a lot of features, features that Illustrator does best. And due to our very detailed and extensive mockups, I feel Illustrator is the better fit for the mockup process. However, we till miss the interactive part of the mockups.

1) Yes
2) I dont know, but why the hell would i need to recreate the same style 20 different times when i only needed to create it once in AI?
It is impossible to tell what isnt working correctly because your tool isnt ready for actual production/ testing work. -

Having the ability to import artboard directly into illustrator would be a nice to have feature. As I do work with a academic team, we tend to work on multiple AI files before exporting to XD. Having the ability to import artboards would help our workflow.
