Use dash instead of a long dash for artboard name when pasting
Use dash instead of a long dash for artboard name when pasting. Cannot compress (zip) exported files when there is a long dash in the filename on a windows machine. There may be other issues that arise when there is a long dash?

This is would be such an easy fix and would drastically improve the UX. I wish this was open source, so I could fix it myself, it's probably literally changing one line of code.

I would like some tweeking options in general but this one is a must since its breaking one.
You have illegal character in new artboard creation.
Everything is ok until you want to zip the exported files.Character – is ilegal (prtscreen in attachment).
This can be replaced with simple dash -Thanks for hearing me out :)

How is this not fixed yet? I still have to batch rename any automatically named artboards that come out of XD just in order ZIP them on Windows.

Technically you're asking for a hyphen or minus, which is the ascii symbol you get from the key on your keyboard. Dashes (en-dashes and em-dashes) are the longer forms, in extended character sets, and may not be properly supported by every application that tries to work on the file.

Can not zip exported files due to default automatic file name generated by XD.
Please do not include a "dash" to exported artboard/file name. Otherwise I have to rename each file which is very frustrating especially if there are many,...and yes...consuming a lots of time then. Losing efficiency...
Thanks

Yep, this can be annoying and it's easy to forget. I just manually changed fifteen filenames because of this.
