Copy wires even when in Design Mode
After I define a master navigation on the objects that are positioned outside the artboards and have it linked to different pages.
I went back to Design Mode and copied the objects to their x and y positioning. But when I go to Prototype Mode after that, I found the wire interaction has disappeared.
The wire interaction only stays when I copy and paste in prototype mode, but not in design mode..
I’m moving this over to the Feature Request section of the database, as it’s an enhancement request on the way we’ve designed the copy and paste functionality.
Thanks,

When in design mode, no interactions are copied to new artboard. I have to copy artboard in Prototype mode to keep links leading from current artboard to others. It would help if the interactions were kept in design mode, too, to speed up arranging alternative designs.

3 years now. Can we get an update on this please? I'm running a project that's extensive in terms of artboard amount and copying wires in both design and prototype mode is becoming a crucial function.

I agree, I think it would be useful to copy the linked artboards in Design Mode as well, saves having to go through and update every artboard if you copy and pasted in Design Mode. It's happened to me a few times would be nice not to have to remember to switch back and fourth.

I'd like to be able to duplicate a symbol in design mode and know that its link duplicates with it. Currently, if you duplicate a symbol that is linked to a page, the link does not duplicate with the symbol, unless you make the copy in the Prototype mode.
There could be a tick box in the link pop up box that says 'Apply to all symbols' to ensure that all symbol instances link to the same page.
This seems a good solution for a home button symbol for example where every instance needs to link to the same destination.
Not being able to do this in Design mode doesn't seem to make sense

Could we get a response, Adobe, on why this essential wire copy/paste function apparently disappeared in newer XD versions and when it will be restored? I'm prototyping a case planning-type app for a client who needs something like 120 screens (artboards.) The navigation scheme is complex. I wired up each of more than 70 nav links in a "master nav menu" artboard. I intended to copy and paste the master nav menu from the wired artboard in each of the various screens so consistent navigation is present throughout the app. Without the copy/paste wire ability we're looking at more than 8000 wires that would need creation. If I can't get this feature soon, I'm gone. Thanks in advance for expediting this.

Yes I think it would be beneficial if the linkages can be retained in both Prototype Mode and Design Mode.
If I don't want the linkages to be copied, I will just go to Prototype Mode, and delete them from there. Simple as that.
