3 years now. Can we get an update on this please? I'm running a project that's extensive in terms of artboard amount and copying wires in both design and prototype mode is becoming a crucial function.

Thanks for your feedback! You can currently do this by setting a transparent rectangle in the background of your overlay. I’ll leave this open to track the issue.

I too would like to +1 this request.
I am building a multi-layered navigation. That means I have a menu within menu within menu within menu. I need the first overlay to open another overlay without itself closing down.
This enables drilldown navigation and multi-menus, also makes it much more convenient to create cliped/masked scrolling lists.
That type of workflow reduces the size of artboards (I can limit artboard to just the size of panel) and reduces amount of elements on each artboard (I have no need to copy screens). It also makes it easy to position overlay menus.

I'd like 0.0s to be the default transition duration, also for overlays and previous artboard.
For website purposes, it's more convenient to show instant animations. For prototype purposes it's very convenient to show instant animations. Most of the time the transitions are instantaneous. Animation is an added value, but is not primary, nor a default expectation in prototype.
Add the fact that an animated transition blocks any other interaction until it has finished, which heavily impacts review viewing. Also, another animation cannot begin until previous one finishes, which breaks the behaviour of quickly moving a mouse over several hover components.

Yes, please, so very much! I got a project that spans across over 250+ artboards. All of them use some master components, and if a feedback comes to change a certain component, it'd save me unbelievably large amounts of time. Not to mention all buttons that come inside that component too.
