Embed fonts for 'untethered' mobile preview from Creative Cloud
Would be nice if fonts were embedded into the XD file. If not you aren't able to preview the app design with the correct font from iOS or android when syncing from creative cloud.
This is something we’re currently investigating. Stay tuned!

I feel the preview is useless without the font , all the UI got messed up ! waiting for this to be available .

This is a very needed feature. When I open my cloud docs on mobile, it shows default fonts.
This is really an important feature and will make things more portable and easy to share. -

3 years for investigation this much needed feature???

When either in live preview (connected to a Mac) or in the cloud documents prototype preview on the iOS app, certain font weights w/ letter spacing stop rendering w/ the selected font family and instead default to some sort of system font. This makes presenting and demoing things in a finished styled state difficult, especially if the default font adjusts line breaks/spacing, etc.

its been 3 years. XD should incorporate it already. I would love to migrate from Sketch(Invision/Marvel) to XD, but i cant let other preview from their own device.

Yes please! I am trying to move entirely to XD without invision, but that simply won't be possible unless the team can test the prototype with the correct fonts showing.

This would be amazing to have for sure!

Wow it's like such an obvious and critical part of the flow for the entire product. Like without it... 4.5/10 with it... maybe 8.5/10? Seriously such a joke that they aren't paying more attention to this. 5 months tops for even an enterprise like Adobe to set up an auto 'convert to path' function for all fonts in a file being sent to the iOS XD App

I don't know why you even HAVE a preview on device feature without proper font support. Converting to path is a very slow and cumbersome manual process. FIX THIS.

@Demianborba It has been over 3 years investigating now and this crippling font issue still remains unresolved. I will not use Xd going forward because it doesnt work. It would have been nice to have the Adobe cloud functionality Xd provides, but not at the expense of lack of critical functionality and a manufacturer with zero will to resolve it.

Also...someone UPDATE US PLEASE. How can a feature this important be under review for 3 years?

This would be ESPECIALLY helpful if, like me, you prefer to use icon fonts VS svgs. Makes handing off to devs easier and I can more realistically mock things up as they would appear on the web.

I found a solution, just make a copy of your design and convert everything to path and it will display correctly.

add one more to this list. Im trying to get spacing and weight correct and without the correct preview font displayed Im unsure how the results appears on the device

Why is this even an issue, should be basic knowledge that designers use more then the pre-installed fonts on an iOS device. Or was the idea that all designers using XD should use the default iOS fonts for all their clients?

This would be a huge help! I'm thinking of turning the fonts into PNG just to have them display as images. Please don't make me have to spend hours doing that.

Make us a Christmas gift and display fonts correctly on the XD App. Thanks!
