Export Measurements for Developers
Now that Adobe XD allows designers to measure all their elements. There's still the problem of having to deliver the design to the developers. They always require a spec sheet with the measurements. They don't want to download Adobe XD because they think it's hard to use, and would rather have a PDF opened instead.
It would be great to have a feature where I can have the measurements present itself on the page when I export to PDF, instead of having to manually type in the measurements as well as drawing the lines between the elements of my app or website design.
This feature is crucial!
We’ve released the Design Specs feature in our November release this week as a Beta. You can now publish a Design Spec directly from XD, and your developer can get measurements of objects by selecting the object from the detail view of the screen. We’re working on additional functionality for this feature and are looking for feedback, so please try it out and file new feature requests in this area against the Design Specs feature area.
Thanks,
-Elaine

Could probably link a bunch of features into this. If fonts styles were all defined centrally in the document, along with the colour pallet then these could be added to an exportable pattern library. Symbols could also be added, along with icons and button styles.

As a designer who exports assets to DEV regularly, this would be EXTREMELY helpful. Specing is the worst and being able to just hit a button and have the program export specs and assets for you would save hours upon hours of time.

Zeplin like spec area is cool but being able to stamp these measurements via "Alt+spacebar" would help for many email conversations or Slack conversations where you just want to paste in a graphic or create pdfs for documentation. Imagine working at an agency where often specs get handed off as files and sometimes dev companies don't work on it for months so agencies don't really want to have to keep up old project adobe xd links because then it's just another thing small agencies have to manage

This is a must have for my organization. We just moved from Illustrator / Invision to sketch / craft / inspector as symbols and an inspector type feature were not available last month when we made the decision. XD is a much more intuitive program compared to sketch and I hope to re-evaluate our tools one day in the future when XD is built out a little more.

This is definitely a must and would bring XD one step closer to Awesomeness!

I'm a designer and have to save out so many assets for dev. When we are done with designs we need a way to save out 1. A style guide 2. Measurements 3. Being able to export assets all at once, vector and raster images in the right size for android and iOS. Developers don't like to sign into adobe, so either a link or exporting a file would be amazing. I'm at Adobe max and everyone is chomping at the bit for this.

Urgently need Zeplin integration or our company will be forced to work with Sketch which is NOT my preferred choice.

This will be very helpful. Our developers keen on asking the Design Guidelines. And it takes a lot of designers time to create accurate one.

Yes please! Need Zeplin integration or an equivalent tool like invision's new inspect, etc.

Great Idea

It may also be a separate simple app, like a viewer/reader in which developers could just select elements and view all the specs, obvoiusly no editing.

I'd like to be able to export my designs and chose to show all measurements for all the elements. Sort of like a built tool that works like the tools "pixel winch" or "Specctr". It would be really useful when doing wireframes that will be handed over to a developer.

Yes! We need something like Adobe Extract for XD for online use.
Or the XD implemented into the online Adobe Extract :)N.B. Online Extract is more useful than offline one, because designers can instantly share the prototypes with developers even if they don't have Adobe XD or Photoshop.

When i publish the prototype, it would be great to have a "publish for developper" function. In this publication, the developper could have the ability to hover an element and inspect it...

For That we're using Specctr tool, its a external tool

yes this is a good feature request...output of a UI spec...
please don't make it a plugin...
I would want to preview and also "distribute' to particular measurement so that the spacing is equal across my components before I output -

I use a plug-in called Specctr Pro to create specs for the app developers I work with. It is essential to communicating how the designs are to be built. In my opinion, if similar functionality was incorporated into Adobe XD, it would streamline workflows immensely.

No, no, no, I think that must be on a web page, in the preview prototype, provide an option switch, can switch to the annotation model directly! So not is better? If the PDF, then I feel XD lost and the value of the "sketch" competition!

Hope can be in the preview mode, a new measurement model prototype as a selection object adobe xd press Alt display objects in space size, spacing and so on, so that we can make a design to the development and integration
希望可以在预览模式一个新的测量模式,原型作为选择对象adobe xd按住Alt键显示对象在空间大小、间距等,可以使得设计到开发一体化! -

This is a no-brainer imo. Design, Prototype...Extract. Sketch intregrates with Zeplin, Invision is working on a hand-over module, Avocode is looking really promising and nobody has ever heard of Adobe Extract. What you guys really need to do is rebuild Extract from the ground up and integrate it in XD. Cmon, you know this HAS to happen, the sooner the better...
