View and share design prototypes at actual size
The full-screen feature is nice but I need to be able to show clients what my designs will look like at actual size on the web. The prototypes need to be displayed at the size they are designed at. This is the one feature that would justify me switching from using InVision for my prototyping.
You can now choose the zoom setting in the shared prototype. By setting it to 100%, you’ll be able to see the screen at the designed zoom level, regardless of the viewport. If you have additional feature requests, please feel free to file them as new tickets!

I just spent hours mocking up and prototyping a website in XD, only to have the prototype display at around 16% in the browser window (these are long pages), which is completely useless for previewing or interacting. I can't believe there's no way to view designs AS DESIGNED at 100% in the published or previewed prototype. This is a dealbreaker. I'm going back to Sketch and Invision until this is fixed. Is there no workaround?
UPDATE: This fixes it – select an artboard, choose Vertical for scrolling, and enter a viewport height equal to your browser's height.

Do it now.

Agree with others that the prototype fonts and styles differ from the website. XD really needs to allow us to be able to show the actual product to a client for it to be a fully functional piece of software. Until then it's just a mock-up.

Yes this is a huge issue because I get clients coming back with "The font size is too small" but this is consistent because the client doesn't realize they are zoomed out from the actual size of the designs.
It would be great if there was a Zoom % box field in the corner just like the design view has or PDF reader.
This is a big issue that is causing confusion and stopping the design process due to issues with viewing the designs. We tried sending PDF versions of the screens but that is another issue being huge file sizes and the actual size in adobe reader is 66% for some weird reason.

This is very annoying. The end-result differs from what is shown in the XD-design.

Hi Elaine,
I am referring to the Share For Review browser prototype, sorry for the misunderstanding. It doesn't make any sense that a website will be scaled down to 70% of its original size. It looks bad, it doesn't make sense, and we have to give all sorts of explanations to clients wondering why the text is barely readable, especially on smaller resolutions.
It's extremely frustrating.
Thanks,

Maybe most designers use XD for app design, but the web part is very important. When designing a web page and using a 1920px width for a page, why isn't it 1920px wide in the prototype mode fullscreen as well? It's ridiculous, I have to explain to my clients that XD is simply not smart enough to show the right dimensions of the page....

What is the hold up on this. Seem simple and obvious. Do we have to use InVision.

2016 - feature under review
2017 - feature in the backlog
2018 - feature started
2019 - feature under review ???
Why is that? This is main feature everyone needs. Clients looking at our designs most probably in tab/laptop? Please give importance to this. Getting client feedback like everything is scaled down and I'm tired of explaining myself. I have to share the images now. Then what is point of using it now -

This is one reason I still stick with Sketch over XD. The whole point of prototyping is to approximate the real thing, and automatically sizing to fit screen defeats the purpose. This isn't PowerPoint. It's a prototyping tool. Please fix this.

I create a website prototype 1440px wide and using the XD App prototype preview, the design show with the right size.
But when I use the share feature and open the online preview, the design show smaller than its original size, 1440px
This happened uploading and viewing from with 3 different Macs, with and without retina display.
Any ideas why?
Regards,
Dani

Please fix this! It's bonkers that you can't see a design at 100%. Literally no end user will want to see the design of something scaled to fit your browser.

MUST HAVE THISSSSS.
We need to show the customer the correct size of the site, regardless of the height we set.
It's annoying when I need to do a drop down menu at the end of a page that has 2,000 pixels in height (in adobe xd), so I need to drag the blue line from the height to the bottom of the page for the overlay to work and in the preview mode , it looks giant, not being able to see the actual size of the artboard and the worst, it does not let zoom for better visualization PLEASE, FIX! -

I designed a 1920x1080 document in bootstrap guide and shared it on the web. And it's perfectly visible in correct resolution in my device but in the client end (he is using a 1366x768 res device) he seeing it as a zoom out version of the design. Everything is so small. Marvelapp prototype fixed this problem by giving a check box option named "Disable Resizing Image - Stops your prototype scaling your images to fit smaller browser sizes". I hope you get what I meant here

I so agree, I'm currently importing my Artboards from XD into InvisionApp to show clients as they prefer seeing them full width in browser. They complain that prototypes from XD are clunky to use, and don't like the fact a desktop screen isn't full width view in when viewing it into their browser.

What happened with this?
Feature started, then back to Under rview. This is a crucial function for screen designs.

Yes please have at least the same zoom level dropdown as in the spec version!

Agree with this request. I recommend and need a few things.
• Ability to hide the comments and assets panel in design spec mode
• add the ability to view designs at 100% using the same controls seen in the design spec mode within the prototype mode
• if it was possible to set the zoom level a prototype starts at
• or it would be nice if we could put the design in a selected screen type that scales the design within itIf I had to choose one thing here it would be to add the zoom levels and tools to the prototype mode so that a client could see the designs at 100% so they have a feel for sizing on their machine, screen, etc. it is not perfect and does not solve everything but man it would help.
I have internal teams asking to switch to InvisionApp just for the presentation mode and their experience.
