Support game controller navigation
There are many applications where the interface is navigated with input devices like game controllers. It would be great if we could get some support for these.
With the May 2019 update we now support gamepad based triggers in XD. (Xbox & DualShock 4) For more details refer to this – https://helpx.adobe.com/xd/help/keys-gamepad-triggers.html

That would indeed be awesome. Mapping to gamepad controls would be a godsend. So far, no prototyping product does it out of the box.
Gamepads are unique input device; keyboard emulation is limited in what it can do (no analog/amplitude, no rumble support).

Sure, I have tried many prototyping tool and so far there have been no perfect solution to test interface solution for games unless you do it directly into the game engine. But to be able to fast prototype ideas we use Axure or were even considering Invision and even tried Indesign but there is always the same problem at the end, not being able to test it with a gamepad. Most of our users use a console and we need to make prototype that can be used with a gamepad to validate all usability issues.
Some inhouse workaround have been found like using some tools that map keyboard inputs to a gamepad (http://joytokey.net/en/) but then you have to create a bit of code to link the navigation to keys inputs to make it work. There have been some tools developped in the studio to try tacle this issue but so far nothing really great that would allow to design, prototype, test with a gamepad, and reiterate on it easily.

I m working as a UI/UX designer in videogames. So far, most of the proptotyping tools have been exclusively for web using the mouse or touch input ( for phones/tablets ) and I guess I m speaking for most of the Interface designers working in game, it would be very very usefull to add the gamepad support to be ble to proptotype game interfaces better.

This feature would be absolutely critical for my team. We rely on remote control input to control our interfaces, which does not translate to touch/mouse navigation well. Even simple arrow key navigation coupled with keyboard commands (that we could link to different remote buttons) would greatly increase the utility we would see out of this product.
