Hi All! Check out today's update of XD. It is version 47 and includes the ability to make any object a hyperlink. To use hyperlinks:


1. Go to Prototype mode

2. Select an object and add an interaction.

3. Choose a trigger like Tap.

4. Choose the action Hyperlink.

5. Add a destination URL.

    Comeon guys this feature is necessary. I have a big application prototype and when I got to 90 screens I needed to cut my prototype in parts to be able to share links with the team. And the only way to link them all together is by having external LINKS from menu items

    This, seems a basic functionality, is a much demanded. Often, when I need to create a prototype for users to test – I have to switch to Axure.

    Knowing that XD exports bitmap images (Share for review) with no life text, creating a hyperlink with target type to open an URL might be a challenge. Instead, how about auto-generating a hot-spot for a hyperlink, or for a hot-spot/button designed ?

    Not having this feature is the deal breaker for me, utter madness it's not there.
    Figma gets stronger and stronger.

    Feature under review since July 2016... Um... What now? Please Adobe, invest in your staff and multiply the speed of development. This is getting absurd here. 3+ YEARS and this hasn't moved.

    This feature it's important to the user testing, and the experience for the user it's cut out, for example show a video or connect with other prototypes.

    I need this to link separate prototypes together. I cannot have everything inside one XD file. And we have linked components exactly for this ... so please, external custom links. Again, copy Invision ...
