Password on shared prototypes
Allow the user to add a password to shared prototypes.
You can now enable password protection for prototypes before sharing the links with the reviewers. Ensure that you share the associated password along with the prototype links to the reviewers.

Would be really helpful to use XD in a professional environment with the client. They wont accept sharing files without password protection. Thanks in advance

XD is awesome tool, but unfortunately completely useless since not a single customer can allow their work in progress to be public. Password protection is crucial.

I won't be able to use XD for team / client online collaboration until you implement password protection. If you want to compete with Invision in this area, this is critical. Thank you for all your hard work on this product!

Elaine Chao, Can we (XD users) get an update of where this is falling in the backlog? Safeguarding IP is critical to many of our collective clients. We understand the GUID is a ~35 character apparently-random string and there is a <meta name="robots" content="noindex"> in the markup, but those can be worked around. Is there an additional update you can provide as far as where this is on the roadmap and working priority/sprint list? I understand adding security on Adobe's server ends may b a large task, however what about allowing a Local HTML output build-option so the HTML files and assets could be loaded on a password protected server on our side - as a temp solution?

Please consider adding the password protection (to the shared link) feature to this otherwise awesome product!!

My company fears that sharing through cloud might not be safe as it is easy to view the ideas if we get access to the link! My company considers this as a major drawback and are not ready to give a try! Unless you put some protection I cannot convince my team to get the software.

Spent the time to learn to use Xd. Not being able to collaborate securely with others makes this product unusable for me and my team.
For this to be usable not only collaboration access would need to be secure. We would also need the folders and files involved to be non crawl-able.Hoping this gets bumped up on the roadmap.

@Adobe: Can you please add <meta name="robots" content="nofollow" /> to shared prototypes? I think prototype links should be private by default and not indexable by search engines. Try searching for 'view site:xd.adobe.com' in Google, and you'll see what I mean.

Same problem - for both gov and private sector

Hi, my organization has this NDA problem, too. Therefore it would be great to have the PW option for shared prototypes. Or (like Axure does it) the possibility to save the prototype as HTML and put it to our company internal server, where no-one with respective rights can view it.

+1 for this, I'm currently designing a prototype and have a NDA, so Im unable to share the designs and demo the functionality.
Please make this a thing. -

Im a little confused. When I send a link it requires the person to have an Adobe login to comment. This is not convenient - I have to make a client create an Adobe account?
When creating a link there should be an option for a public and or private link with a login but not an Adobe account login. -

I would love to use XD for government and corporate work but as it stands, I can't because I cannot keep the work under wraps (huge problem if you work under an NDA clause). This feature is critical in order to make XD a viable product.
