Import Videos & Animated GIFs to show in interactive preview

Hello everyone! I’m excited to announce that in XD 45 (released today 10/26), you will be able to import MP4 video into your XD designs.

To ensure platform compatibility and performance across desktop, web and mobile preview, your video must be:

MP4
H.264
AAC audio
under 15 MB
4K or under resolution.

Enjoy and we can’t wait to see what you create!

XD does not support Animated GIF, so if you are still looking for that, please start a separate request and vote on it.

    Being able to show a client what a website looks like with a video playing in the background is fundamental to the review process. Currently we have to rebuild in After Effects and output to Vimeo for them to review.

    GIFs are increasing becoming common place in emails - and being able to showcase those fully in an XD design is important.

    I am looking to do a prototype app where video is the main experience. I agree a Gif could fake it but if Gif isnt supported then I am off to another tool.

    É um recurso simples pra uma empresa como a Adobe. Preciso colocar vídeo no meu projeto e agora vou ter que desenrolar de outra maneira por que a Adobe não suporta.
