PNGs have no options to switch to 8bit from 24 bit PNGs and no further options as seen in Photoshop. It's pretty easy to see where XD falls a long way short here. Just open the programs and compare.

There is currently no 8 bit PNG support and the colour options that go with that.
JPG options are limited and the compression is not as good as photoshop.
No Webp export.
No SVG options.
No Gif support. (still waiting for animated Gifs to work)
Would be nice to specify that I only want and @2x copy or @3x specifically rather than have to keep deleting the 1x version etc.
XD is my favourite adobe app but it still falls short on the above.

I’ve tweaked the title so it covers only exporting animation to GIF format. This will help keep our feature list fine-grained so we can get a better picture of which are the most important.
For the other formats that were originally mentioned here:
- Export animation as a video — exporting to MOV (QuickTime) is supported now, via the Record button in the Preview window. If you need to save in a different video format, please file a new suggestion with details.
- Export animation as HTML/CSS/JS — please upvote https://adobexd.uservoice.com/forums/353007/suggestions/13198020-export-html-css-animation-code
- Export animation as Flash SWF — please file a new suggestion if you need to export to this format.

Also - I have to run everything through Tinypng.com to get decent file sizes. Tinypng strips lots of unnecessary code content out and reduces the file down to what is really needed (lossless). Would be helpful for Adobe to look into this.
