It's a shame nothing has been done on this since I commented a year ago. It's still an incredibly frustrating limitation and you end up with multiple documents and overhead to manage. I'm working on a small project at the moment and even then running out of space. Can we get an update on this?

At one point your team used to answer these comments. Has their been a change of management / strategy in how you interact with your users? I can only now get feedback by Twitter.

Currently working on quite a small iPad app and already running out of canvas. Even worse when doing web mockups at 1920px.

Please focus on the CORE of all user interfaces. Typography and Copy.
It's frankly ludicrous that vertical alignment of text within a text box is not just a standard feature - I can do that in Powerpoint!
Bulletpoints and OpenType font support would be nice too.
You know these are features that you're losing customer to Figma for.
Here's my current scenario. I have one master XD file and I plan to translate it into a bunch of languages with Lokalise. I want to define a vertical area where text will be centred and if a string is longer (e.g. 3 lines of copy becomes 4 in German) text will still be centred. Instead, I'll have to manually centre each text layer.

Please have a look at Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign or Figmas support of OpenType. It's wild that I literally can't use tabular lining from a standard font like Raleway in AdobeXD. Having to switch my project to Figma until we have basic typographic features in XD.

Agree with this, try using the Raleway font in AdobeXD is a nightmare. Right now I have to import numbers as bitmaps from Photoshop which allows tabular lining.

I'm getting pinged 5 times a day to update links on files I no longer work in. I never thought my design tool of choice would end up as a daily distraction.

I have a layer that shows the keep out area on all artboards for iPhoneX rads and notch. Having to toggle this on/off is annoying. A keyboard shortcut to press and click the layer to toggle its locked state would be useful.

I recently received a Sketch file of a completed app, imported it into XD and then had to spend an entire day splitting text boxes and introducing bullet points just so it aligned with the file I received.

This is an incredibly important feature in more robust version controlled areas of design - think medical devices. You have implemented the exact feature - ability to mark a document as a saved version - in the Cloud Document - yet not in the shared links where it is far more important. Here's the scenario. I release a version controlled PDF that is signed off by two people, in it there is a link to an AdobeXD spec share < that's fine - this link should be able to be permanently locked or at least retrievable. But what happens if I accidentally overwrite that link there is no feature to roll back to the version that is linked in the PDF (see Jeromie Clarks point below). I'm now in a total pickle with a link in a revision controlled document which links to a more recent design with no means of reverting to that version.
