    how about either a direct selection tool - or introduce the old adobe FLASH / ANIMATE drawing method where you could break apart the bezier and marquee select the elements of a path/fill to modify or delete.

    example would be to create a perfect hemisphere/arc from a circle - at the moment there is no way other than freeform an arc to create it perfectly (not that I know of). ideal method:
    - draw a circle with border and no fill
    - direct select the left/right side and delete it
    - leaving you with a perfect hemisphere line

    no dice mate. I tried a test of this earlier today which is why I posted it as a potential feature. I attempted again just now. drawing a quick vector in ai, copy and pasting into a psd (vector smart object now). save psd and import into XD.

    vector is rasterized!
