Thanks for your feedback. I think this something that component states will help you with and not overlays per se, as overlays are defined in relationship to the artboard viewport, not an element on it. However, you do have a good point about choosing the directionality based on its location on the artboard. I’ll edit the title to reflect that request.

Please note that stacks is a feature that is intended to be used at design time, and does not dynamically shift the stack in preview. I’m going to rewrite this particular request to be more precisely about the latter suggestion.

I’ve tweaked the title so it covers only exporting animation to GIF format. This will help keep our feature list fine-grained so we can get a better picture of which are the most important.

For the other formats that were originally mentioned here:

    Hello,

Could be interesting to give a start and end position to a sticky element. Using this I will be able for exemple to create a side sticky menu. To do so I will give a Y position to start and a Y position to not cross.

    Hello,
There is a huge problem with child component and you should take it into consideration.
In my design system I defined a button, my master. This button is made of a background color and a label. There are different state for my button : normal, hover, pressed, disabled, error. So the background or the border and even the color of my label change depending of the state.
When I changed the label's value text on the main state all the other state are changed accordingly. Wonderfull !!!

It's exactly what I want for all childrens in all my different prototypes using this button. But it's not possible... If I change label's text in the main state of a child button I have to change manually all the other state ! And it's huge ! So much time lost... And I don't speak about the fact that if I change the master component children will not take the change.

So may be one solution could be to tag my label's text as overriden element so the value of the label is not part of the component.
    If your have questions :)

If you work on this issue you will give us possibilities to create real components in our design system. Today create components with states in a design system is a complete waste of time.
Even a simple button with a label and common states become pain in the *** :) when you try to use it across your prototypes... Just because you have to override your "Label placeholder" for each state... And when you do that because you override the original component then it's like you have no more design system... And here begin a vicious circle impossible to break.

    Hello,

Padding is nice ! It's now possible to create a button which automatically rezised with my label.

    Let's go further now.

I've a component with padding ON. This component has also a hover state. In this hover state I've got a beautiful animation using a mask with the same shape as my button.
Problem is when when I changed my label my button width change but not my mask layer. So my hover state doesn't work anymore.

When the size of my component dynamically changed all layers with responsive mode need to resized also dynamically.

    Tks !
