We announced CC Spaces in XD today at Adobe MAX! In a space, all members will share ownership of the document, which means people leaving an organization won’t impact your workflow. More details to come!

We’re planning to support pages in XD. Stay tuned!
An error occurred while saving the comment Vlad Iepure commentedThis has been in the backlog for a year. This is a breaking point for a lot of people when picking between XD or Firma.
Could you please provide us with some updates? when should we expect this feature? Thanks

Thank you

Thanks for your clarification! As you’ve noticed, XD currently has a 1:1 relationship between a source document and its linked library, so this is currently as designed. I’ve updated the title so that it better reflects what you’re asking for and will leave it open for others to upvote!

An error occurred while saving the comment Vlad Iepure commentedHi Elaine,
Thank you for the reply. I am using the shared CC Libraries, but when I create assets new assets they get added to the document library and not to the shared library—resulting in me going back to the source file and adding the component there so that I have it in the shared library (which is an unmanageable process).
Ideally, I would like to set the shared library as the main one in a new document, to be able to continue to add items to the same library.
But let's not forget the real reason I am in this pickle, which is the limited workspace in an XD files. So maybe the solution is in having an infinite work board or multiple work boards like in Figma (they call them pages) .

An error occurred while saving the comment Vlad Iepure commentedWhen designing it would be great to have the imported images compressed automatically. I would see this as a setting option that could be either turned on/off and to be able to adjust the level of compression. This would speed up syncing by a lot in a large collaboration project that is constantly syncing (also a bit more ecological for all of us).
In my case, I'm working on a project where the XD file size is 1GB and can't really check which images are compressed and which not and I had to reach out to support to get a fix because the files were not showing anymore.Cheers

Hi everyone,
We’ve started working on multiple fills and borders, with plans to extend to this multiple shadows in the future.
Best,

An error occurred while saving the comment Vlad Iepure commentedHi,
I was trying to recreate the material design shadow, which includes 3 separate shadows and also makes use of the spread function for box-shadow. The problem is when exporting to Zeplin you only see the top layer and the underneath shadows are not visible. It would be great to have these into the same shape to be able to export one shape with 3 shadows (for a clean CSS). The spread function is also something that would be great to be included in the next update.

An error occurred while saving the comment Vlad Iepure commentedA quick workaround for duplicating components with a lot of similarities:
Copy/paste component in another file, then make local to that file and rename.
Then copy/paste back the new renamed component to your file and make it local again. This seems to me, to be faster than rebuilding the component from scratch.
CheersAn error occurred while saving the comment Vlad Iepure commentedThis is very much needed for building any complex design.

I'm considering finally making the switch to Figma this year. This is currently blocking some of my projects. Having multiple XD files linked is very messy.
