Similar implementation that occurs via mac os's finder/preview would be great! If you have the apple notes app available for testing, try dragging a pdf in the and see the magic... same goes for a native mac os sticky note!!! This would be the best implementation to start with in my opinion -- although I use xd for many things outside of design and mockup so I would greatly benefit from any kind of pdf support. But if you're gonna do it, do it right!
