I’m leaving this open for now, but if you’re interested in using color swatches from Photoshop and Illustrator, you can export them to a CC Library and use them in the Assets Panel directly within XD. Hope that helps!

An error occurred while saving the comment Casey Arendt commentedAs a user I want to see the hex color of a selected object's fill/border/shadow, etc. without a second click to open a secondary tool palette.
Something like appearance or color palette from AI.

An error occurred while saving the comment Casey Arendt commentedWould love to see a visual indicator in the design specs which artboards have assets and in the live file the layers, artboards, assets or some addition UI palette should make it easier to find and manage assets marked for export. Having control over the export options as well would be great. Or potentially having a "placeholder" version that is marked obviously but as the designer I could go back and manually save assets later for the dev. In this way I get full control but do not block them moving forward.

Yes, it, ideally, applying colors from the assets panel to either border or fill should not involve opening a contextual menu. Implementing more robust tools around color and focusing on border or fill like AI does would likely help this issue.
