If my colleagues were computers - always online, always available to push the link - then I wouldn't care about this feature.
But they are not. They work part time, take holidays are in meetings etc. all while we need to update the link from the file they are the "owner" of, and I don't want to be creating a "new link" from a "new document" as the clients who have the link are too likely to get confused and look at the wrong link.Stig Kristensen

Even better, why not allow to import any icon font and display a character map of all available icons in the pack.
I know FA is popular, but it is just one "look" out of many many possible icon sets... -

This is definitely a must have. I need to add notes about behavior and details around how things should be implemented once build. At the moment I have to keep track of my notes while designing, and then add them to the published design specs, which is more admin that I would like to have...

I'm pulling my hair out over the same issue.
Interestingly there also seem to be some colour conversion going on on embedded images.
Images in XD shows completely different colours both in the editor and browser presentation as to what the image will look like if used directly on the web in any browser. There are definitely no "raw colours" going on (whatever that would be), but probably some conversion happens when the XD presentation gets rendered to the canvas in the browser.

This would be such a time saving feature. Find it odd that it isn't possible yet.
At the moment I have to make complex workarounds where each element of a component becomes its own component just to allow me to for example change the box-shadow of a widget container in one place which is supposed to be used in many different components.
