Hey Ryan! Definitely something I’ve been looking for as well!
I can safely say this is a feature we’d all like to see in XD.

Sometimes there are many popups overlay to design over blurred background. What if we need to add popups on each unique blurred bg page? Right now I'm merging my whole document > Copy paste to photoshop > Copy the rasterized image into xd and then use its blur filter.

An error occurred while saving the comment Lovechand Shrestha commentedI don't know but why this feature has less votes? Its the most basic requirement. I mean a designer would love to play on bigger area. What about 16:9 ratio 1080p monitor? When designing 1920px mockup I'm unable to fully view the design on my 1920px monitor. This is so butterlike easy on photoshop..thanks to that!
Adobe please look carefully into this. We don't always need votes to add features.Lovechand Shrestha supported this idea · -

An error occurred while saving the comment Lovechand Shrestha commentedOkay, in photoshop its quite easy to get color overlay over one layer.
But in xd i have to create a new black faded rectangle over the image. So there are two layers "Faded Rectangle" & "Image". What if I have to update the image? XD automatically drops image. So in this case the image is dropped in Faded Rectangle (not dropped in the actual image) which is bad UX experience. Maybe, use opacity and fill option to create color overlays over images like I highlighted in screenshot below. -

Also, if rasterize feature is available we can crop big images easily in xd. Just mask the image into cropped size. Easily rasterize. So now we can get any types of image mask like rectangle, square, triangle, custom, etc and get it to rasterize. Would be a cool feature..
