Hi All -
Can you please detail out what’s your current workflow today in XD that lands you into that situation?
In other words, are the documents that you’re pasting into linked to the source document? are they “Saved As” versions of the source documents.
This extra info will help us identify what the issue is.
Thanks,
SherifAn error occurred while saving the comment Scooter Sooz commentedThis is breaking my workflow. And it's become so confusing now as to where the latest components are. And I discover pasted components are not correct, because they lost the styling upon paste to a new document. It's hard to overcome the disfunction. It's sapping my time, energy and design enthusiasm :/

An error occurred while saving the comment Scooter Sooz commentedHave just spent an hour creating components in different sizes (with 10 states each, with multiple shapes and colors within), only to learn that when pasted into a new document they revert to the original long out of date component. It's a hugely frustrating moment. I really don't wish to have to recreate everything, but think it may have to happen. Extremely frustrating.
It's obvious I don't know the rules of the program, but assumed it would work a certain way.
It's not intuitive for me.
I curse XD daily and nightly. And am scared to update any libraries incase hours and hours and hours of complex work is unravelled with one click. These fears and the many problems I experience with XD were never part of my experience when using Figma.
I believe there is a huge price difference between the two products. You do get what you pay for. And maybe XD wouldn't be bad for simple projects.
