Please note that stacks is a feature that is intended to be used at design time, and does not dynamically shift the stack in preview. I’m going to rewrite this particular request to be more precisely about the latter suggestion.

An error occurred while saving the comment Jonathan commentedTo be able to specify the hover detection area (eg. a shape) would be really helpful.
For example if you have several buttons next to one another, each with a large hover-state, they currently overlap when hovered over, meaning a user's mouse has to leave the entire area before.
This improvement would make prototyping hover overlay displays more functional for larger interface design (eg web pages).

I see that some of the people who have responded are looking for hovers for elements, which is already supported via hover states: https://twitter.com/elainecchao/status/1194695173499830273?s=20 This specific request seems to be focused on supporting secondary navigation where there might be overlapping edges. I’ll keep this open for the latter use case.

I'm trying to design a fixed position overlay that appears when hovering over an object within a scroll group. This is not possible as currently the overlay (as a hover state) would have to scroll along with the scroll group.
This would be very helpful feature for larger interface / web design prototypes, as its something that is possible in web development, but not possible to design for here.
There are several ways to implement this - allowing components to interact between each other (eg. if hovering over component 1, triggers a state change in component 2) could also work to the same effect.
Thank you!
