An error occurred while saving the comment Andrew commentedJanice, the artboard name is helpful in the published prototype (which is what you seem to be referring to) but also the Preview mode in the XD application (which is what I think OP is referring to). I really want this feature as well. Please see the title bar of this example I made: https://i.imgur.com/Rk80TKH.png (2 options)

An error occurred while saving the comment Andrew commentedI felt this pain when it was time to export all my artboards to PDF the other day. I had to go back and rearrange all the artboards so that they read left to right and top to bottom (which is how XD interprets the order of artboards).
Not sure what the best solution is to this problem, but I agree with the problem.

An error occurred while saving the comment Andrew commentedSome sort of ability to annotate and add documentation to a set of mockups would be wonderful. Up until now, I've been using Word or Google Docs for documentation.

An error occurred while saving the comment Andrew commentedI think this is a really cool idea!
You can accomplish something very similar using Repeat Grid, but it wouldn't be as quick as this feature would be.

An error occurred while saving the comment Andrew commentedI absolutely agree. I find myself constantly clicking the canvas in hopes of a window popping up. Instead, I have to create an arbitrarily sized shape and then adjust the values in the property inspector.

Note: there’s a limited version of this feature already available. If you select an existing piece of text and then leave it selected while you use the Text tool to create new text, its style will match the piece of text you had selected.

I agree with MaMaLy below. I was going to open a separate ticket but I'll just add to this one:
When I select the Text tool and click a text box, I do NOT want all of the text to become highlighted/selected. Instead, I want the cursor to immediately place itself where I click so I can start typing.
