Copy/Pasting from your UI kit is very cumbersome and not the right way to make those system-wide "symbols" available !
1) You should be able to drag and drop them from a panel (like in Photoshop). And the panel should be searchable since there are some many of them...
2) They should be hosted on Adobe server so you can add/remove/update any single "symbols" from the UI kit without having to update Adobe XD and add/remove/update complete UI kit for new platform (i.e. iOS 10 and Android 7.0 without removing the ones for older version).
3) In fact, they should be more like photoshop "Shared libraries" but shared from Adobe and build into the app !
4) You could even suggest user to preview an updated (and seperate) version of their files with the news assets from the updated UI Kit to minimise the work needed when new iOS/Android version comes out.
