This allows me to quickly & precisely resize object in increment of 1px or 10px with shift key held down.
Nope, that does not solve the original problem at all. If you leave isolation mode with a single click, you can't drag a selection rectangle to select stuffs inside the isolation mode as that would immediately exit the isolation mode. The blue border to indicate isolation mode is also not good enough. Please make it exactly like what you have in Illustrator.
