Yes I do convert them to paths, but keeping it as font would be great for keeping things more easily editable and would also help whenever we don't remember to do that before giving the link to the developers.

Also, on repeat grids I can change the text for each element changing the text and that would generate different assets.

+100 on that! My devs would be on heaven if they could export vector drawables directly from XD instead of exporting svgs and converting them form android usage.

This is now possible! Not exactly a fluid scroll so some issues still apply but using drag actions and auto-animate we can spec a horizontal scroll for our prototypes!

In the link bellow I leave you with a XD recorded video and also the source file for it. It all is done in linking multiple artboards together with drag actions and auto animate.

I have the same problem! The issue for me was resolved changing the second artboard height to a smaller one (my design allowed me to have a smaller artboard but I usually have all by the same size so I can better fit them into each other)

First of all, I did not know if I should register this as a bug or a feature, I came to a conclusion that it's a bug because it is not working as it was probably intended.

On XD, when I type the name of a font the field gives me the best answer but does not help if the match was not on point.

On Photoshop and others, I'm able to type the name of a font and arrow up or down to select other suggestions. This is not the case in XD.

Real world example: I use a font awesome pro license on my designs. The new version lets me type the name of an icon and it is converted to its graphic version as a ligature. The problem is that "Font Awesome Brands" is the first family that matches the "Font Awesome" search and not "Font Awesome Pro" as I usually need.

In my workflow I do need sometimes the spec of a single artboard also (to link somwhere on the project documentation for an example), what I'm doing in that case is that I generate the spec link, vistid that link and navigate to the artboard in question. With that artboard focused I copy and send that specific link to my devs so they don't need to go trough the entire project to find one specific artboard.

I don't see the case where this is not enough, if you do have some use case for this please elaborate for us! :)

Update: one of my main uses of this would be to pass Font Awesome icon names to devs. Today I found a way to do that (at least with Font Awesome PRO 5). Installing Font Awesome as a system font and using ligatures to write the icon names those names will be kept on the "content" box in design specs!

Showing layer names is still useful for other cases like asset links or other text indications.
