An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedSketch uses an infinite canvas for all of your design work. I was surprised to find that XD uses a finite canvas. This had a negative impact on my designs.
I created a set of art boards and had to revise them many times. Each revision required a new artboard design that was moved up about a thousand pixels on the Y-Axis on XD. Eventually I ran out of space. I could easily create a new project and continue with the designs however this solution is not ideal.
Thanks for your help.
It seems that XD has no ability to select an individual layer except with clicking deeper into a design. This is functional but not great.
Sketch lets you drill through a hierarchy of layers by right clicking on a given layer. From there the user can access a sublayer via a dropdown menu called, "Select Layer."
In the example I've enclosed, user can click on the main layer and through right clicking they can get to the string deeper in the design, in this case, 'Hello World."
This feature is a real timesaver in Sketch. I'm moving our department away from Sketch and trying to onboard them to XD. Adding this "Right Click --> Select Layer" feature would be an enormous timesaver.
Thanks for reading this far.
