Please note that stacks is a feature that is intended to be used at design time, and does not dynamically shift the stack in preview. I’m going to rewrite this particular request to be more precisely about the latter suggestion.

I thought I had made a reusable horizontal navigation menu using content aware and stacks. But I can't include a line for the active state and have it resize correctly based on the length of the text. Content aware doesn't recognize the line, and I can't use a rectangle because I can't apply a border to only one side of it. It's so sad to see amazing features like content aware and stacks not be useful because of something as simple as applying a border to one side of a rectangle, which I've been doing in CSS for years.

I started as a developer but do more design work now, and I was shocked to see that applying a border/stroke to one side of a rectangle isn't something that I can do in XD. This is something that I used all the time as a developer.

This is a huge blocker that makes the ability for multiple people to work on the same file basically useless. If multiple designers cannot update links for clients and developers, then multiple designers can't really work on the same files.

This is so necessary! I was so excited about states (they definitely are huge), but I'm running into blockers with them everywhere because of the need for this.

One of the reasons my company is switching from Sketch/Zeplin is the commenting functionality provided by XD. We have plans to use multiple links to keep design feedback, developer handoff, and client feedback separate. Right now, we have to manually put all of these links in a Confluence document. Folder organization would really help with adoption of this program!
