I had this same issue come up yesterday for me with the Design System master document that I share with my team and have done so since cloud sharing was introduced. I can no longer save the document to the cloud. I can do a "Save as" and create a new document in the cloud, but the original one will no longer save back and I get "Error 49". Possibly corrupted data on the server?
Of note, I also tried all the suggestions in the link that Asha B C provided below.
XD Version: 126.96.36.199
XD Document Info:
- Size 7.7 MB
- 27 Artboards
MacBook Pro Mid-2012
macOS Mojave 10.14
I'm currently having this issue with my XD files as well. I'm deleting artboards to reduce file size in hopes that solves the issue. So far the issues are still apparent - ie I have a constant: "Saving..." notification next to the file title, and an inability to close the file in this state.
Closing the window prompts the 'Error: 49' modal.
I'm currently having this issue as well. I don't even think my cloud file is that large - maybe 20 artboards total, and no bitmap imagery.
Same here, with the latest version of XD on Windows 10 Pro. I can't save my "Library" file which contains all the master components, while I can save all the other files containing instances of these components. Components are not being updated though, and new components added in the Library file as master components, and then copied to other files, are marked there as broken links ("component is missing in a source document").
And now the best part: as I am getting that error 49 messages when I try to save or just close the Library file, the changes are obviously being saved in the background: when I finally manage to close this file (the only way is to save it on my local hard drive), and then when I re-open it from the cloud (not the local version I manually saved), I see all the changes I made. Instances of new master components added in other files are still not recognized though.
I will gladly provide more details if needed.

Thank you reporting this and see if this helps.
if this does not resolve, then please share:
1. XD version ?
2. Is this happening with all the files ?
3. Check whether you are able to rename or save as ?
3. Creative cloud logs, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/cc-log-collector.html
