Type tool doesn't work well
The system fails to recognize new font's even after relaunch. Also, when typing the text is not visible and get's visibility back only after finishing with the element.
1. Adobe XD 22.214.171.124
2. Just type.
3. Text should be visible while typing.
4. Text is not Visible while typing.
Thanks for sharing your feedback! From your responses, sounds like changing perimeters for the text layout (ie alignment, line spacing) resolve this fo you. If you find that is not the case, please post new issue for investigation.
same issue on my win 10 but I've manage to reproduce this bug.
when text box is in "Right align" and trying to edit the text, the text disappear.
changing the text box to "Left align" and now every thing is ok.
I hope that I've manage to help the adobe team to understand the issue and to solve it ASAP.
I had the same issue, but I found out that the reason was "Line spacing" parameter. I used a fixed number, so text tool could not automatically change it to a corresponding font size. Just type in "0" in "Line spacing" field, press "Enter" and the text should appear again.

Can't type within a text box every once and a while, On Windows 10 Pro, core i3-2370M.
How is this issue closed!?!? How can it not be reproduced!?!?!? can I work for Adobe? - I can show you how to reproduce the issue.:
Step 1 open XD on a Windows machine.
Step 2 use it for 20 minutes, sometimes less than that.
Step 3 try and edit text...
Step 4 get your company to cancel CC and switch to Sketch because this is insane
This happens every day when I use XD but apparently it is not a real issue
I am still experiencing this issue daily. Have uninstalled and reinstalled, and tried all the various fixes found across the web when searching this issue.
The newest version seems to have made it slightly better. New text created doesn't have this issue, just text created prior to the update in my files.
Seems like the most up to date version fixed the frozen issue (at least for me). Thanks a lot!

any resolution to this, xd is pretty unusable in this state.
I will say none of the above things (working with multiple languages, locking keyboard, etc...) apply to me at all. Normal everyday XD use, hit the update button, now anytime i select text in a text field the keyboard stops working...but only in XD, works everywhere else.
I'm having the same problem highlighted here. Every time i try to edit a textbox the keyboard stops working and the app becomes slow and unresponsive. I have to close Adobe XD and reopen it to get it to work again. This obviously makes the program unusable for me.
I forgot to mention in my original comment that t the font I am using is OpenSans.

After the latest update, the keyboard stops working.
The app freezes when the text field I'm trying to edit is selected.
The entire app doesn't freeze but all keyboard input is lost.
Sometimes saving will 'unfreeze' it but I still am unable to type.
I have to exit, kill in task manager, restart, and functionality is lost almost instantly after restarting.
The same thing happens if I use built-in keyboard or external Logitech.
I sort of need to be able to type when I use XD...
Any help or tips would be GREATLY appreciated.
when editing heavy text/long text box, text tool and cursor are active but cannot select text or switch back to other tools.
I have to keep close XD, reopen the file, edit TWO WORDS (literally) and close and reopen again which significantly slows down a simple task.
I tried to edit and style file in InDesign and copy over but none of the stylings is carried over.
Please fix this for a smoother prototyping process. Thanks.
