  1. [Windows] XD does not launch for users with spaces in their home directory (G14490)

    Space: the final frontier. Unfortunately, space is one of those things that XD isn’t handling well; if you can’t launch XD on Windows, you should check to see if you have a space or period in your home directory. We're working on a solution to the problem and will update you with the latest information when we have it!

      Hi, everyone-

      First of all, on behalf of the Adobe XD team, we apologize for the inconvenience of this bug. While we try our utmost to ensure that we don’t have significant problems with Adobe XD, sometimes things happen.

      I’m very happy to say that we just released a fix for this issue. Windows 10 users with spaces and periods in their home directories should now be able to use XD’s January beta. Please go to the Creative Cloud desktop, select the gear, and select “Check for App Updates.” A new version of XD should be available for you to download.

    • [Windows] XD reopens unchanged files from the previous session (G18894)

      Everyone has things they would rather forget, like those particularly embarrassing experiences from adolescence that pop up into conversation every once in a while. Similarly, XD for Windows 10 occasionally gets into a cycle where it will open every single window you had in your last session, even if you saved and closed the file. If this happens, you should close the application and delete the files in C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Packages\Adobe.CC.XD_adky2gkssdxte\LocalState.

        We’ve addressed this bug in our August release of Adobe XD! If you don’t seen an update immediately, launch the Creative Cloud desktop app, click the gear icon, and select “Check for App Updates.”

      • 0.6.12.17 crashing permanently

        I cant reproduce what is happening, because XD now crashed just by bringing it into the foreground of my screen. The other 5 times today I also did nothing special. One time changing the space on my second screen.

        And as XD doesnt autosave I lost something between 1 and 2 hours of work today.

        Thanks Adobe for such a great product! So as 2 hours of work cover a Sketch licence I might just switch to that.

        • [Windows] Cannot save file for users with complex characters in user names (G13648)

          When a team releases a product into the wild, it's often after agonizing months or years of designing, developing, and testing. Every once in a while, though, certain things we've tested extensively weren't tested in the right environment. In this case, some users with complex characters in their user names are unable to save files or open UI Kits. We're currently working on a developing a fix for this critical issue, but if you're desperate to try out Adobe XD, you can create a new user on your machine with a name and user account with only letters from a-z…

            We’ve fixed this issue in the March release of Adobe XD. You can check for the latest app update by going to the Creative Cloud desktop application, selecting the gear, and selecting “Check for App Updates.”

            Contrary to popular opinion, this was not a particularly easy fix for us to make. Thanks for your patience!

          • Changing font by typing name doesn't work well (no autocomplete, case sensitive) - after going fullscreen

            When I want to change the font - the only way I can change it is if I scroll through the dropdown and click the font. If I type the font name, and click tab or enter, it just defaults back to Helvetica.

              Hello Pushpa:

              The bug you’re describing is different than the one in this report. It sounds like there is something wrong with your font file. I suggest you exit all Adobe programs and re-install. If issue persists, be sure to contact your font vendor for any additional information.

              If you find the problem is with Adobe XD only, be sure to file a new bug report for investigation.

            • [Windows 10] Ctrl activate Zoom when i hold space bar, OMG

              After the new update, when i press ctrl+shift+G or other letters the space bar become the Zoom function. The only way to get out of that is to press top right on play.

              • XD crashes when clicking on the artboard with text tool

                I have a bug in Version 2.0.32.10, when I try to use the text tool, XD crashes completely.

                My colleague doesn't have the issue, so my guess is that XD is going through all my fonts and finds something that it can't handle. Would be nice to have a general direction of what to look for.

                  We just released XD 2.1, which fixes this issue. If you don’t see the update immediately, launch the Creative Cloud desktop application, click on the … button in the upper right hand corner, and select “Check for App Updates.” Thanks again for your patience as we worked to resolve this issue!

                • Name cropped when exporting artboards to pngs

                  Version 0.6.32.12 Beta

                  I try to export multiple artboards, already naming them as I want, I export to png, when I check the pngs name: the name are not exported properly (it’s cropped randomly), some cropped, some doesn’t.



                  For example,
                  Expected result: “Mockup01 - without collaboration - 170620.png” 

                  Actual result: “Mockup01 - without colla.png”

                  It's never happen on previous version. I'm using Mac.

                  • Crash while saving in Windows 10

                    One or two times a day, I've been experiencing the shut down while I'm saving files. It's on my local server and I'm using window10. I'd rather degrade my xd version from the newest one since the issues is happening after I updated recently.

                    Here is summary below.

                    1. the shut down while saving file and lost like 2-3hour works even I saved with short cut every 30min.

                    2. Generally, saving and open a file take me at least 1 min depends on how big it is which isn't this way previously.

                    • [Windows 10 Fall Creators Update] Shift and alt automaintain

                      When I use Adobe XD, sometime the key shift or alt is maintain even if I don't push on any key.
                      I don't know if it's a bug or a mode. If it's a mode I don't know how to leave this mode (and how to active it). I usually wait or press a lot of key or I quit and restart XD if shift or alt are still maintained.

                        • [Win 10 Fall Creators Update] App on Windows randomly keeps shift key locked

                          After using the app on Windows for some time, the app starts behaving weirdly:
                          - Pressing Ctrl-S to save, prompts me to Save as... for a document I already saved
                          - Selecting on an object, and then selecting another object causes both objects to be selected, instead of selecting one, then the other.

                          This seems to happen after multiple sequential actions are taken in my XD file, but I'm not sure, all I know is that I have to wait for a minute for it to "catch it's breath" before I can work again, or just restart the app.

                          • [Mac] Intermittent save issues (G15132)

                            If you're anything like us, you save compulsively--saving after every rectangle and every edit to the perfect path, knowing that things like power grids can fail at any time. However, some Mac users may occasionally not being able to save, which, as we all know, is a Very Bad Thing. We're working on a fix to the problem right now and are trying to bring the fix to you as soon as possible. If you experience this, we recommend that you export all of your artboards to SVG in order to minimize the data loss. If you've hit this once…

                              Hi, everyone-

                              We’ve fixed this in our latest Mac release this morning, which should be available via the Creative Cloud as of this morning. Please go to your desktop Creative Cloud application to download the app! If you don’t see an update, select the gear icon, then select “Check for App Updates.” You should then be able to see the update.

                            • [Windows] Some font variants (weights) do not apply on non-English systems

                              Using Segoe UI on Windows 10, some font weights have no effect when choosing them in the dropdown:

                              - Italic
                              - Bold
                              - Bold Italic

                              Defaults to the Regular instead.

                              All the other variants, Black, Light etc. and their Italic counterpart do work. (Something to do with style linking? It's odd that precisely I/B/BI do not work.)

                              • Prototype links throw Internal Server Error

                                I updated to CC2017 across Adobe apps. Today a colleague reported that a prototype link from my cloud wasn't working. I checked and NONE of my existing prototype links work anymore. They all throw an Internal Server Error with a long Request ID. I opened up Xd to create a new link to share. The new link was generated, but throws the same error.
                                These links have been shared across my company, so this creates a significant problem in our workflow.

                                  • Artboard titles do not display in macOS 10.12 (Sierra) beta (#G7934)

                                    If you’re hitting this issue, you’re probably one of those early adopters of technology; you need the latest and greatest before anyone else has it. You probably grab the latest fonts, the latest prerelease builds, and, yes, the latest operating systems as they come out. In this case, users of the macOS 10.12 (Sierra) beta will notice that artboard titles seem to be corrupted on display. The good news is: you can still see your artboard titles by double clicking on the title, and your titles aren’t lost forever—they’ll display again when we fix the issue.

                                    • iOS mobile preview shows wrong font weight

                                      I just downloaded the latest September update + the iOS preview mobile app. I love how fast and "real time" it is, but I found an issue with some fonts weight.

                                      For example, for a very common font like Open Sans, on mobile preview only the "Regular" weight is rendered correctly.
                                      Light, Semibold, Bold, Extrabold weights are all displayed as Regular by default on mobile, while on my laptop screen they are displayed correctly as usual.

                                      Same thing for the Lato font, I cannot display the Hairline and Light weights on mobile preview.
