Clicking "Edit Master Component" causes the master component to go to the top of the layers panel
Adobe XD Version: 184.108.40.206
This bug seems to have been introduced in the latest update of XD and is present on both Windows and Mac.
1. Click on a master component and observe that it is not the top item in the layers panel
2. Click on a child component on the same or different artboard
3. Click "Edit Master Component" on the child component
After clicking "edit master component", it causes the master component to go to the top of the layers panel thus resulting in it being moved forward in the Z-index. This is incredibly frustrating when your artboards rely on the Z-index order.
The master component should remain in the same place within the layers panel, thus resulting in it's Z-index position remaining the same.
Thank you for your bug report. I have logged an issue internally for this.
FYI, I did find the workaround - If you would group the master component in a folder (group) by itself, it will stay in the current z-index order.

I'm getting this, too. What I see is the layer goes to the top of a masked group.

Thanks! Hoping to see it fixed in the next release/update!
