Can't edit character styles
Sometimes I can't access the Edit modal window for a Character style.
I right click on a character style
I can pick Delete or Edit
When clicking edit, nothing happens
Happens randomly and I have to close and re-open the file to make it work.
Attached: the window I'm trying to open.
This issue has been addressed in our newest release XD 7.0!!

I’m experiencing this too. I edit character styles, but it doesn’t affect them at all. I save the file, quit XD, and restart it, and the file returns to its unsaved state with any and all character styles.
Is it possible your text in a group or symbol? If so, you should double click into the text to activate the selection.
Hope this helps!

1. Version (18.104.22.168 Mac)
2. When you select a styled text in the Artboard.
3. Expected Result ( The Character having that style should be highlighted in the character styles panel )
4.Actual Result ( I cannot see the highlighted style)
Thanks for taking time to share your feedback. I'm looking at the screen grab you've shared and it shows the properties dialog. Do you experience further issues when trying to edit? Also curious do you see the same issue with color properties?
I'm wondering does it help to close other apps when working in XD? Let me know if you continue experiencing this issue.

Woops, forgot to attach the file - here's the window I'm talking about https://create.adobe.com/2017/9/5/make_it_impactful_xd/_jcr_content/article-body/image_caption_stacked_6/image1.img.png/1504653256710.png
If I create a new file and create a new character style, I can edit the character style and have it update instances of different subsets like Prenton Medium, Prenton Bold, etc. But then if I change the font family from Prenton to Roboto, it will update to show Roboto Regular (the default weight) and get stuck on the regular weight. If I try to change it from Roboto Regular to Roboto Bold, the preview in the character styles panel shows it looking bold, but every instance still looks like Roboto Regular. I can switch between font families, but not variants of any font family.
When I edit a character style by choosing "Edit" from the right-click menu, and choose a different sub-set of the font like semi-bold instead of medium, it will not apply the changes to any instances, even if I create a new text layer and set it to the character style I just edited.
For example, if I'm trying to edit Prenton RP Medium to Prenton RP SemiBold, the preview in the character styles menu looks like SemiBold, but all instances using that character style still look like Medium. If I create a new text layer and set it to the newly edited Prenton RP SemiBold, the next text layer looks like Prenton RP Medium.

After designing there was a change in font across the entire project - no problem I can just change the character style, right?
1. When selecting my font in the character style, a bunch of sub-font options appear that aren't on my system.
2. I check in the attributes panel, and the correct fonts are shown there, and they also work when selected.
So if I want to update my design for my client, I now have to do it manually on every single layer, across every single artboard, manually
P.S. I can't change the font for multiple character styles (not a huge issue, but would have saved me some time)
I'm on the February 2018 release of XD.
