Tabbed design view for multiple files
Similar to Photoshop or Illustrator (See attached file), it would be valuable to allow for multiple files to be opened and arranged in the design pane using tabs. This would give users a quick way to switch between their projects and will provide a much better workflow in general.
This is a must for me!

Adobe team — For Mac, just simply add support for the native MacOS tabs for windows.

Yes, tabs would be much more convenient.

This is already standard in Sketch, it really should be implemented–mainly for using items from the UI kits.

Mac OS Sierra allows tabs, which could be leveraged. Don't know how it would look with a native OS frame, but same concept would apply. Having multiple files open is a normal thing.

Yeah this would be very nice

Me gustaría que las estaciones de trabajo se vean en pestañas, como illustrator y photoshop, para no tener que andar minimizando las ventanas para encontrar otro proyecto

Second this, I'm working with multiple flows and user journeys for different scenarios and flicking between tabs would be super useful. As other usershave said, just dropping one open window on to another to create a tabbed window as per photoshop/illustrator would be awesome!

I agree.. I'm working on 2-3 app design projects at the same time. It would be great if I didn't have to switch between 3 different Adobe XD Windows when they could have been in one instead with tab view.

@James, That way of working may not work for everyone. But for consistency, if I have tabs in all other Adobe applications, I would expect that I could do the same thing in Xd. As in all of them, you can always hide the tabs if you work better that way.

My experience of XD so far hasn't warranted this. I normally have a huge amount of art boards on one canvas and could only imagine a rare occasion where would I require another tabbed document. The canvas is huge and generally very fast despite a huge amount of assets. I would recommend working in 'zones' within the one canvas. For example on one project I have a variety of areas: illustration, the main prototype art boards, icon development and a filter components area. What do you think?

Designing interfaces at Skype, I always have two or more design documents open at once, enabling me to grab content from different files. In the current Adobe XD, I don't see an easy way to rapidly navigate between design files. Right now I'm using OS X Mission Control, but it's not efficient at all. (Think how annoying it would be if you had to use Mission Control to navigate between tabs in your web browser!) I would love to see Adobe XD introduce tabbed documents, the same way Illustrator and Photoshop do today.
I'm absolutely obsessed with Adobe XD. Interface design has needed this product for so long, and you guys are nailing it. Keep up the amazing work!

Would be nice to have tabs to move between UI Kit and open project.

I'm working on several different design at the same time and not having tabs with the different artboards is a problem. It would be great to have tabs so it's easy to change between them and not having to look for them somewhere between all my different windows.

I agree with that, today I had 3 windows open and trouble navigating around them!
so I agree with adding tabs! -

Like inDesign or Photoshop, Float one open project window over another, and they combine into a single window with two tabs you can toggle between.
